It was Sunday morning and the roads were blocked on the way to the ponies that my husband and I love taking our girls to. So we decided to take a little drive trying to figure out how we were going to make our little ones happy after promising them a horse ride. We ended up in this sweet neighborhood that I grew up in. We took a few turns and found ourselves at the horse stables I used to visit as a kid. My little ones were wide eyed as they stared at the stunning horses in their element. My husband was amazing and before we knew it had gotten in touch with a school that taught all ages. There we were with our kids putting on the little white helmets climbing up on these beautiful creatures. Here they were at such a young age acting like pros. They loved it. They were completely captivated. The teachers took them onto a trail and we walked with them in awe as we witnessed the discovery of a new love. The way we are able to look at the world through our children's eyes is truly what I believe is one of the purest joys of being a parent. The dreaming, the living, the loving. We watch in pride a whole new beginning while images of our own youth are not far behind.

WOW! Nice! :-D They will soon be champeen riders before long. This also marks the month for Rodeo TIME, that I truely also miss back home in Houston, SO MANY TRAIL-RIDERS!! I remember going on one with a freind when i was 17, and had the time of my life! We started from Navasota Tx, and rode ALLLL the way to the Astrohall for the Houston Lifestock & Rodeo. It took a good part of 2 1/2 days. We camped out in Hempstead Tx. The 1st time I rode a horse was @ my uncle's ranch in central Tx., I was Poets age then, lol..My cousin put my up on top, and didnt even ride 10 feet and fell off!! Knocked the breath out of me! But its been a WHILE since I rode last, I think since 1989. This sure is inspiring. Thanks for sharing. :-D

This is what I do! I work with horses and children of all ages. It is truly magical. I teach kids the basics of riding and grooming and how to saddle and feed. My daughter is 5 now and she has been riding for over a year and it's amazing to watch her take off on this huge animal. I hope your girls grow to love horses as much as I have and as much as my daughter has.
